Rethinking Work-Life Balance
Work-life balance. What if it’s not what we think it is? I used to think it meant schoolwork could be contained within the school day. Ideally, I would have energy and time left over to do non-school-related activities in the evenings and on the weekends. But, using this definition, I still haven’t reached a work-life balance. Schoolwork often spills out of my school day and into other parts of my life.
Fortunately, I have great news! I found a new definition. Accor

To Fail or Not to Fail?
It’s so hard to be perfect. In fact, it’s impossible to
be perfect. Yet that seems to be exactly what many of us are seeking. Where did
we get this idea that it was possible to do everything well? Was it when we
were in elementary school, and got our papers back? We looked to see if we got

Waiting
What are you waiting for?
It feels like we are waiting for a lot these days. Yet

Different Boats - Same Storm
Lately I’ve heard the phrase, “We’re all in the same
boat.” In some ways it seems to be true. We are all going through experiences
due to the coronavirus. We are connected. The worries I have now match the
worries of other people all over the world. It used to be that my worries were
unique to me and my situation—isolated to my small part of the world. While we share the same worries and concerns, when you
look closer, we are not actually in the same boat at all. We are in different
boats,

Life: A Checklist or a Journey?
The feeling of accomplishment is something most people cherish. You did it! You got all the laundry put away! You organized your office! You worked out! You slept eight hours last night! You feel great! And, then, somehow it fades away. You have more laundry to wash and put away. Your office looks cluttered and you can’t find that paper you need. You’ve gone days in a row without exercising. You stayed up too late last night and you’re tired. What happened? Why didn’t the feeling of accomplis
