Permission to Read
During this difficult time, Boys Town Press is allowing educators, counselors and other professionals who have purchased our books to read the books at a distance for teaching purposes. Please follow our guidelines below.
Requests for live, unrecorded readings:
If you are hosting a virtual read-aloud with a Boys Town Press book, you must:
- Host only live readings rather than uploading recordings
- Credit Boys Town Press as the publisher
- Name www.boystownpress.org as the URL where viewers can find the book
- Within 3 months after reading, delete videos on platforms that auto-archive live videos
Please email us at btpress@boystown.org with the following information:
- your name and role
- name(s) of books
- purpose of reading
- planned platform
You will receive an email response from us with specific permission or any follow-up questions.
Copyright and Permission Policies:
All published material by Boys Town Press is protected under copyright law. You must obtain permission from Boys Town Press if you wish to reproduce our material in any form. All permission requests must be submitted in writing,
For permission requests, please include the following:
- Purpose of your request and how the content will be used
- Title and page number(s) of the text
- Length of time you are requesting to use the copyrighted material
